Petunia Pickle Bottom Boxy Backpack Diaper Bag (Classic Copenhagen) Review

Petunia Pickle Bottom Boxy Backpack Diaper Bag (Classic Copenhagen)
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I first bought this bag when my son was just a few days old. If you have ever been a new mom, I imagine you know what sorts of things I thought I needed to cram into my diaper bag every day, so I of course I needed the biggest diaper bag that I could get my hands on. I saw this pattern at a local boutique and fell in love with it, so I forked over the cash and brought it home. To my dismay, I couldn't fit all of the things I needed in it. I was so disappointed. I used it a few times and ended up hating it so much that I contacted Petunia Pickle Bottom and arranged an exchange for a different bag.
Fast forward to a few weeks later: As I got used to my baby and started to learn what I really needed to carry out of the house with me, I realized that this bag would have been more than adequate- in fact, I exclusively breastfed for the first seven months, so it actually was too big for most day trips.
Pros:
-It's huge. I mean, massive. I had at least the following crammed in there: A dozen newborn diapers, a container of wipes (not the black wipey case that comes with it, an entire container), two extra outfits (winter ones, at that), two pairs of socks, an extra shirt and nursing bra for me, a nursing cover, 2-3 burp cloths, 2-3 flannel receiving blankets, a small wool blanket, a snack and bottle of water for me, my wallet, my keys, my phone, my iPod, a travel packet of tissues, a tube of Desitin, hand sanitizing wipes... I know there was more. The thing was crammed so full that the Velcro was almost bursting (and I say almost because it's super strong Velcro so it held tight).
-The patterns are even more beautiful in person than online. I actually think this particular one is a bit masculine, which is ok with me because I'm not really into super feminine stuff, and the few times we did use it, my husband wasn't embarrassed to carry it.
-It could totally double as a laptop or school bag. Just a thought, in case you are hesitant to drop the cash on it.
-It has a bunch of pockets- not useless pockets thrown in just for pockets sake, but really useful ones that are perfectly sized.
-I love the backpack straps. My shoulders slope downward a bit, just enough to be annoying, and the backpack straps allowed me to carry the bag without having to constantly hike it up. It comes with a long shoulder strap and two shorter backpack ones.
-The material is waterproof and wipes clean really easily.
-It is super high quality, you can tell by the feel of it that it is constructed well.
Cons:
-This particular bag is the glazed material, which while beautiful and waterproof, it quite heavy. If you feel one of these bags empty vs. one of the same in a brocade, there is a noticeable difference in weight. It may not seem like a big deal, but once you get this thing crammed to the hilt, another pound or two could make all the difference in the world.
-The straps are a slippery webbing material, kind of like car seat-belts, and it contributed to the shoulder-sliding thing I mentioned.
-It doesn't come with stroller clips (Valet Clips) and I know for sure that the JJ Cole ones do not work with it, I'm not sure about other brands. I ended up with a few other Petunia bags, so I have the clips now, but it was a pain to try to loop this thing around the stroller handles.
-When it is packed really full and you are wearing it with the backpack straps, it doesn't really lay nicely on your back, it kind of tugs and gaps. If you take some of the stuff out and have it packed to a reasonable level it lays flatter.
-I hear a lot about the Velcro being really loud, but it didn't bother me at all. The Velcro is nice because if you have so much stuff in it that you can't get the zipper closed, then the Velcro will keep it all contained. Overall, if I had to go back I would not have returned this bag. Now that I am bottle feeding and carrying around snacks and toys in addition to bottles and food and diapers and wipes and fresh clothes and everything else, I think this would be the perfect bag for all-day trips. I wouldn't take it for a quick trip to the grocery store (see Petunia Crosstown Clutches, there is a reason I own three of those), but it can hold the stuff your little dude/dudette needs for a long day away from the house, all while you look totally fabulous.

Kecci Shanghai II Mommy Diaper Bag-Slate Blue Review

Kecci Shanghai II Mommy Diaper Bag-Slate Blue
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
The bag is very beautiful and I've received a lot of compliments on it. I love the backpack strap option, but other than that I've been a little disappointed with the bag.
- when using the backpack straps you can not close the zipper on the back pocket since the straps are secured inside the pocket.
- the bag is quite stiff and boxy, so whether it is full or empty it is always bulky
- given the dimensions of the bag it doesn't actually carry that much stuff inside it.
- The inside of the bag is deep and narrow, with just one zipper at the top for opening. I've found it to be awkward to find my way around the inside of the bag, unless it isn't very full.
- I've gotten a few water stains on it and I'm not sure how to get them out - anyone have advice on that?
I've actually stopped using this bag, sadly. I love that it is a beautiful fabric and has the strap options, but other than that I've found it to be incredibly inconvenient and awkward, poorly designed and not worth the money I spent.

Ju Ju Be Be Thrifty Wallet Review

Ju Ju Be Be Thrifty Wallet
Average Reviews:

I bought this wallet when I bought a Ju Ju Be diaper backpack and I love it.
It opens wide enough to hold cash & credit card receipts and folds tight enough to fit in my coat pocket.
There is a peak through spot for your drivers license, which is easy to access - you won't break a fingernail trying to get it out at airport security!
There are 2 rows with 3 slots each for credit cards and each row has a pocket below for your secret stash.
Change pocket is easy to access as well.
I've had mine for about 11 mos and it's looking a little dingy, but I need to just wipe it down with a little soapy water.
I love it and with the fun colors, it's always easy to find in your purse, backpack, diaper bag, or whatever.

Kalencom Eco-Friendly Quick Changer Kit Review

Love the look and fits into my diaper bag. The only thing that bugs me about it is that when I use the changing stations in restrooms, the side pockets from this bag hang out to the side. I wish is folded out on the top or bottom instead of the right and left side b/c it makes it hard to get the diapers, wipes, etc out. My baby ends up playing with the side pockets.

Paul Frank Bowler Style Diaper Bag Review

Paul Frank Bowler Style Diaper Bag
Average Reviews:

Sooo my mom bought this as a gift for me when she found out I was pregnant.
We all know the bag is an accessory for the mother, not the baby. I thought this was the cutest thing ever. I still love the design.
Anyway, after using it for about a week, the smiles on both the bag and the changing pad had fallen off. I have since super-glued them back on, but they've fallen off a few times. Sad! Julius looks ridiculous without his smile! Now, my daughter is 4 1/2 months old and probably since about 2 months, the grommets on the straps have pulled out and a lot of times the straps pull out of the buckles because of it. Anyone who is a mommy with a purse/backpack, an infant carrier, grocery bags, a water bottle, and a diaper bag falling off your shoulder knows how much of a hassle that would be.
I love the look of this diaperbag, and I knew with the paulfrank label that it'd be expensive, but I just wish the quality stood up like much of the other paulfrank merchandise that I own.

This diaper back is very useful as a backpack and has alot of handy items including a thermal bottle holder, wet/dry pockets and a changing pad. I used the bag one time to go to a festival. I wanted my husband to feel a little more manly than carrying the pink flowered diaper bag that my sister gave me. It worked well however, after only one use for about 3-4 hours, the stitching is coming apart at the top of the backpack. It was too expensive to only get one use out of but I guess I'll have to suck it up!

Cevan Metro Diaper Bag Parisian White Vintage Biplane Perforated Finish Review

Cevan Metro Diaper Bag Parisian White Vintage Biplane Perforated Finish
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I was so excited when I ordered this bag! It's the first time I've ever "splurged" on a diaper bag and I'm on my 3rd kid.
I am STILL excited about having this bag...but there are a few things about it that are a little frustrating.
Pros:
1.Stylish
2. Lots of pockets and space to put all of your things. There's even adjustable dividers that velcro into place!
3. The shallow part of me is a little happy that other moms have complimented me on the looks and the uniqueness of the bag.
4. The extra little pad on the shoulder belt is not only great but needed since you can fit a lot in the bag and it can get heavy.
5. Comes with a changing pad.
Cons:
1. BULKY! My husband calls it my "luggage". Some other people (mainly guys at grocery stores) have said, "whoa....that's a big diaper bag!" And sometimes it just gets in the way when I'm trying to carry the baby carrier and the bag. It also takes up a LOT of space in the shopping cart!
2. There are SO many compartments to put things that I often lose my keys etc... and have to dig around to find them. Maybe if you are an organized person this wouldn't bug you. I don't have time to think about putting my keys in this or that compartment.
Overall I enjoy the bag....but I do find myself grabbing a smaller purse to put a diaper/wipes and my wallet in when I'm making shorter trips. It holds everything for when I'm going to be out all day though.

J.L. Childress Bottles N Bottom Tote Review

I purchased this bag when I was traveling to California with my 2 year old. It worked out great. I was able to pack several diapers, wipes, etc as well as drinks, milk and some small snacks. It's lightweight and not bulky. However, one portion of the bag broke on the inside where you can hold the sippy cups-that's why I only gave it 3 stars. Otherwise, I was very happy with this product.

Trend Lab Dr Seuss Storage Caddy, ABC Review

Trend Lab Dr Seuss Storage Caddy, ABC
Average Reviews:

I am very pleased with this. Although it is 'Dr. Seuss' it is very classy, not super cutesy or babyish.
I am currently using it as a nursing caddy. I loaded it with my water bottle, my cell phone, some Lansinoh, a Luna bar, a magazine, a diaper and burp cloth and all the other things I want on hand wherever me and my newborn go. It is a lifesaver b/c I like to move from place to place as I nurse and it seemed like whatever I needed was in the other room. Now it is all with me.
When I'm done being a nomadic nurser I can use it as a craft caddy or diaper organizer. It is strong (can carry it with my water bottle, it keeps its shape, etc.). Also very cute.

Diaper Dekor Plus Diaper Disposal System Review

Diaper Dekor Plus Diaper Disposal System
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
As a new parent,I have to say that the Diaper Dekor Plus is a great diaper pail all around. Our little girl is now 11 months and we find the Diaper Dekor to be very convenient and almost completely odor-free.
I read a lot of reviews of the Diaper Genie and Diaper Champ before choosing the Diaper Dekor mainly because you can operate it with one hand (a big plus) and because the reviewers all said it handled odors well.
The Diaper Dekor is really easy to use. We have it right next to the changing table and all you do is step on the foot pedal to open the top, drop in the diaper through the swinging door, and that's it. Changing the bag is simple too: you just open the front door, spin the full bag a few times, cut it off using the cutter mounted on the door, and then tie off the bag.
The first bag refill that came with the unit just "pooped out"(ha ha) after 4 weeks of newborn diapers. Putting in the new refill was simple. My only minor gripe is that there is no way to know when the refill is getting near empty. It would be nice if it changed color or something so you know you will need a new refill soon.
Now that our little one is on solid food, the refills don't last as long, but the Diaper Dekor has handled the odor problem well. Yes, you can catch an unpleasant whiff sometimes, but that probably means you need to change the bag instead of trying to get "just one more in". And yes, you might wrinkle your nose a bit when you change the refill, but it's no worse than opening up a stinky diaper. Just change the bag fairly often and maybe put a stick up deodorizer in the bottom of the unit and you'll be fine.
I would definitely recommend the larger Plus model so you don't have to change the bag as often.

When I originally received my clips I was a bit concerned. I didn't have a clue on how to open them. I had to get on JUJUBEs forum to see if anyone could help me. I was helped quickly on how to pull up on the strap to pop it open. It would've been nice to have those instructions with the product so I didn't have to do research.
Also, mine came with a rhinestone missing on one and JuJube kindly sent me a replacement! +1 for excellent customer service!!
I have mine installed on a double combi stroller with my packabe and It's very nice to have instead of carrying my bag all the time.
The 4 stars is due to the lack of instructions, if that was included I would've given 5 stars. I want products to be easy to use right out of the package and not have to get online to do research on how to use.
